Ideas

As a club, we have been discussing ideas about getting involved in the community, getting to know each other in the Social Work major, and facilitating to different desires or needs of the Social Work majors. So if any one has any comments or the like. Post them here on the blog and I'll be reading them.
An idea for the coming months is to have a diaper drive to give diapers to single Mothers in the community.
We also had an idea about a Volunteer Services Plaque to give out to students that volunteer above and beyond their requirements. We are considering how to involve this summer in the award also. Let us know what you think of that also and any ideas you have. :)
We are having Pamela, the Executive Director from YWCA come into Dr. Stahlman's class on Wednesday, February 25th. She will be speaking at 11am in Room 244. Hope lots of people can make it!
Finally, some questions:
Are there any certain interest people have that they would like someone to come in and talk about?
Do you have ideas that you would like to have facilitated through the Social Work Club?
Does anyone have a desire to get involved with Teen Pregnancy, Middle/Upper class Teenagers, children, the elderly, or the grieving process? All of these are interested of your officers so just let us know!
